If you are looking for a sweet, fluffy easygoing personal trainer, Kat is not that! If you are looking for a trainer who will push you to your limits you never thought you could reach, kick your ass in to shape and have a laugh with she is the trainer for you! I had been doing classes elsewhere for 2 years and although I had seen some changes I was really challenged that I knew I could be doing better. With the lack of motivation to do myself knew I needed someone who point me in the right direction. After seeing the huge difference in someone else who was going to Kat, thought I would give it a try for a month or so. She immediately sets you at ease and you feel really comfortable with her. The amount of times I have almost given up half way through a set and she just pushes you cause she knows you can do it and just have to believe in yourself. Her knowledge of how just moving a tiny bit this way or that can make all the difference is what really stands her apart. Not going to lie, you will struggle to walk up and down stairs lots and you will find it difficult to dress yourself some mornings from a tough workout but it is all worth it!

Where do you start with the “phenomenon” that is Kat Storm Bonar?
For me the beginning I guess was waking up one day with the realisation at 48 years old, life was fantastic. My business was super busy, exciting and demanding.
My family life with three crazy boys and a gorgeous fun loving wife was even crazier than my work. My life was perfect, or was it?
In reality I had put on over five stone, felt tired all the time, ate and drank way too much, constant sore backs, partied hard, but had stopped playing sport or exercising myself, I had stopped making time for me.
The impact was not good and getting worse very quickly. I wanted to be fit at 50!
I needed some massive immediate action, I just did not know what to do.
So I joined the gym got out on my bike. To be honest nothing much changed I still ate and drank too much, although I had joined the gym I really was not motivated.
Then I pushed harder, changed my diet dramatically became a borderline vegetarian (seemingly you don’t necessarily live longer, it just feels like it!) and ditched the drink, I knew that none of this would last long. I lost the weight with relative ease... I felt pretty happy with myself but I knew the old habits would return if I did not make a more fundamental change I had to do something different.
At the gym I did a couple of spin classes just over a year and a half ago. I thought they may help me get some focus this was where I first came into contact with Kat.
They were brutal, what an intense bundle of fun energy and pain all wrapped in one cardio session! It very quickly became clear that she was a very focused professional, motivated and knew what she was doing, but most importantly with a difficult and challenging learning experience she always made it fun and pushed me through it, Let me make this very very clear from my experience as a total novice, if you want the easy route or the slow route, KAT is not the trainer for you.
But if you know what you want to achieve but are unsure how to get there, whether weight loss, diet, body shape, sport training, general health... be careful of what you wish for as she will make it a reality with a smile on her face... tough yes, but never boring that is for sure. I am fifty in a couple of weeks time, I am looking forward with excitement and energy for the next fifty years, I now even race mountain bikes with the best in the world, two years ago this was an impossible dream.
For me the journey over the last year with Kat has been fantastic. To start off with I thought it was about the body shape and weight, yes they are nice but they are vanity. Training with Kat has helped me find balance in my life, I sleep like a baby, eat like a horse, laugh and play harder than ever before with a wee glint in my eye and a skip in my step, this is not for everyone but if it sounds good to you; no matter how young or old, shape or size, just get off your backside and get in touch with Kat for a chat and start your adventure, you will not regret it.

Kat found me staring blankly at the PT board one day and I never knew that would be the start of something epic. When we met I had no idea how to deadlift and I thought squatting the 20kg bar was an impossible task but I said to her that I want to be able to lift and she showed me that and so much more. I was a mess and very out of shape to begin with and had no self-esteem and too many issues with food to list here. I have been training with Kat for about a year and a half now and not only have I nearly tripled what I can lift and squat but she has me eating so much better and I have never been more confident.
